Review Kodak DC 3800 Digital Camera [2MP] / Kodak 3800:The compact DC3800 is small enough to take anywhere and has been designed as a simple point-and-shoot. To keep things simple the number of controls has been kept to a minimum. Despite the diminutive size it has full auto-focus, built-in flash, a good bright 1. 5-inch LCD screen and a 2x digital zoom, not as capable as a proper optical zoom but in a camera at this level a good bonus. It uses a 2. 1 Megapixel CCD capable of capturing 1,792 by 1,184 pixel images. One limitation of the size, however, is that it can only take two batteries, leading to a shorter than average battery life-you might like to carry spares. It does lack manual controls for many settings including white balance and exposure controls which can cause problems under more difficult lighting conditions. For more general outdoor use or indoors using flash it is capable of superb pictures. It uses CompactFlash cards and comes supplied with an 8 MB card. [+]Lens distortion is minimal and it employs some high compression settings which enable you to fit a good number of images on the 8 MB memory card, 58 at the highest setting.
